The first recipe that I am going to share with you actually ties together an English style of cooking along with Scottish and Southern influences. I say this because the recipe is an oven fried chicken recipe. Do not worry if this is not your cup of tea! We will be sharing traditional fried chicken recipes below this one. 2 1/2 - 3 lbs. chicken pieces 2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp pepper 1 cup flour 2 tsp. paprika 1/2 cup oil or crisco melted
Since locating unusual items can be time consuming, choose a recipe that does not contain difficult to find items. You should use ingredients that can be found at your local supermarket or grocery store. Using ingredients that you have used in the past is recommended as well. Decide, before you shop, if you want to use a whole chicken or parts of the chicken. Although an entire chicken will be more flavorful, chicken parts have a much faster cooking time. So if time is an issue for you, choose skinless chicken breasts or chicken tenders. Fresh and not frozen chicken is much faster and safer to cook with but, if you do have the extra time, chicken tenders work best. However it is good to use the type of chicken that is listed in your recipe.
With all the different health conditions that seem to be continuously increasing in number, watching what you eat is indeed a must. Eating healthy however does not mean that you have to give up eating delicious meals. Here are healthy chicken recipes that are totally guilt-free and are loaded with nutrients. Rosemary, sage and oregano are herbs that have several health benefits. Aside from the traditional ways of acquiring these herbs such as drinking tea or taking in supplements, you can also incorporate them in your meals. One of the healthy chicken recipes that have these ingredients is the raspberry-glazed rosemary chicken. For this healthy recipe, you will need 1 teaspoon of crushed rosemary, 1/2 teaspoon of dried oregano, 1 teaspoon of rubbed sage, 8 chicken breast halves that are boneless and skinless, 1/4 cup of fat-free chicken broth, 1/2 teaspoon of honey mustard, a cup of raspberry preserves and 1 teaspoon of fresh, chopped rosemary leaves.
